Here at Amber Pre-School we are very pleased to offer two Outdoor Learning sessions a week at Amber Ant Club.

Inspired by outdoor learning in Scandinavia, Amber Ant Club is designed to enrich children's senses by immersing them into nature. Our woodland setting, just a short walk from the Pre-School, is ideal for encouraging child led play focusing on self-discovery and exploration. Through this, children are supported in learning important life skills. For example, some activities include the use of tools which facilitates supported risk taking and problem solving, whilst also developing their fine motor skills and concentration.  

An outdoor classroom also encourages the children to lead an active lifestyle, whilst understanding how to look after and respect the natural world around them. As well as physical benefits, Outdoor Learning helps children to develop socially and emotionally, with an increased sense of self esteem.
